Goop is a product that really sells itself! It is only when people see it they truly are able to see just how beneficial it is. Recently I was gooping a display home for Metricon when I was approached by another builder. “What’s this?” he questioned. I explained to him that Goop protects the glass from being damaged or scratched during the building phase and therefore saves money and less stress for the builder, The very next day I received a call he wanted me to Goop his home, A while after I got another call from him, he was very pleased with the product saying it was easy to pee

l off and that he has honestly never seen anything like it so he just had to test a window. We now do all his work.

Has this happened to you?

Are you painting after you've installed your flooring, or still have trades needing to finish the interior?  Don't risk damaging, scratching or having to clean them later which may be difficult to do.  Floor Goop eliminates spending a lot of lost production time and energy continually trying to protect them. It can be applied to Floating floor, tiles and polished concrete protecting the exposed surface.

Applying Floor Goop is twice as fast as other methods. It seals to the floor thus objects such as screws, nails, dirt and other damaging building materials can’t get under it damaging the surface when walked on. When it’s time for removal, simply peel up the Floor Goop and dispose of it in general waste leaving your floors as though they had been just installed.

Window Goop - Light Effects and Security

f:id:goopguy:20171031165412j:plainf:id:goopguy:20171031165432j:plain

Apart from all the known advantages of Window Goop being discussed, one area where Window Goop doesn’t draw much attention is its effects (or lack thereof) on lighting internally.

Recently we protected windows on some projects and one of the biggest complimentary comments received was how little the Window Goop effected the lighting internally of the rooms.

As Window Goop dries to an opaque finish, it doesn’t dull the light nor have any effect on the colouring within the room. This is a very important point to be made, as some products used in the construction industry protecting windows tend to be coloured which can have a great impact on the trades trying to work inside, especially on dull, cloudy days.

As can be seen here, Window Goop merely softens the sharpness of the sunlight and can aid the tradeperson working inside.

Another advantage of Window Goop being opaque is that it tends to stop prying eyes from the street looking in and seeing what building materials may have been stored inside.
Great for the Builder….

When should In Goop my surfaces?

f:id:goopguy:20170919145116j:plain

Goop is a great way to protect your client’s assets on site throughout the building stage but it is always important to get the job done at the right time. Each surface we protect should be covered as soon as possible after installation. This time will vary depending on the individual surfaces.

Windows are ready to be gooped immediately after installation and before any brickwork has commenced. Baths and benches are another surface that are ready to be gooped immediately after installation.

Floors are a little different with cure times of glue and other liquids coming into play. When the floor is applied with an adhesive the glue would need to be fully cured to avoid movement before gooping. In the case of tiles the grout will also need to be applied and dry before gooping commences (roughly 24- 48 hours after installation).

We also goop concrete slabs, as they are a lot thicker than tiled floors they require at least three days cure time before gooping.  The timeline on a build is always hectic but getting the goop guys in at the right time will help to protect your surfaces and save on the hassles of replacement.
